One of my most exciting projects is Simp Design Library, a collection of reusable UI components built to improve development speed and consistency.
The idea came from repeatedly creating the same buttons, cards, navigation bars, and layouts across multiple projects. Instead of rebuilding these elements every time, I decided to create a centralized component library that could be reused whenever needed.
The project is built using React and Tailwind CSS. React allows me to create flexible and reusable components, while Tailwind CSS helps maintain a consistent design system without writing excessive custom styles.
During development, I learned the importance of component architecture. Small decisions such as naming conventions, prop design, and folder structure significantly affect scalability as the project grows.
Another valuable lesson was focusing on developer experience. Clear documentation, predictable APIs, and reusable patterns make components easier to use and maintain.
Although the project is still evolving, it has already improved my workflow and strengthened my understanding of frontend development. In the future, I plan to add more advanced components, improve accessibility, and publish the library for public use.
Building Simp Design Library has been an excellent learning experience and has helped me think more like a software engineer rather than simply a developer.
